In den letzten vier Wochen war unsere Schulgemeinschaft um ein Gesicht reicher. Inés von unserer Erasmus+ Partnerschule I.E.S. Santa María La Real in Aguilar de Campoo war für einen Monat als Austauschschülerin an unserer Schule zu Gast. Sie war bei Familie Römgens untergebracht und hat mit Hilfe ihrer Gastschwester Alessa und den anderen 10ern den Schulalltag an einem deutschen Gymnasium kennengelernt. Sie hat einen kleinen Beitrag über ihre Zeit bei uns geschrieben und wir freuen uns sehr, dass ihr unsere Schule und die Zeit in Übach-Palenberg so gut gefallen hat. An dieser Stelle auch nochmal der ausdrückliche Dank an Familie Römgens und Alessa, denn ohne ihre Bereitschaft, eine Schülerin für vier Wochen in ihrem Haushalt willkommen zu heißen, wären solche Austausche nicht umsetzbar!
Wenn auch ihr Lust auf einen Austausch mit unseren Partnerschulen habt, dann haltet die Augen und Ohren offen, wenn es wieder losgeht 🙂
GERMANY 2025
As an exchange student who has been in Germany for a month, specifically in Übach-Palenberg, studying and living there, I would like to share my experience. The school is spectacular, with very welcoming and friendly teachers who have always tried to make it easier for me to adapt. The same goes for the students and all the friends I have made there. I have met wonderful people, like Johanna, who has made me happy and accompanied me throughout my stay. I have also shared unforgettable moments with my host family, whom I miss a lot and hope to see again soon. Without a doubt, it has been an incredible experience, allowing me to see the differences between cultures and experience firsthand what it is like to spend a month in Germany.
Although I was very nervous at first, I quickly felt comfortable, welcomed and loved. I would repeat this unforgettable experience a thousand times without hesitation. It has been a pleasure to have had this opportunity and to have met so many wonderful people. Germany will always have a special place in my heart and as they say, goodbyes are only sad when there are good memories.
